Established in 2008, the mission of The Johnson Foundation is to support and strengthen nonprofit organizations in the Greater Cincinnati and Greater Roanoke regions through thoughtful grantmaking. Our efforts are focused on the following three service areas:

Urban Affairs: The Foundation is committed to serving nonprofits whose organizations contribute to the vibrancy of Cincinnati’s urban core, with a special focus on community engagement and community development projects.

Animals/Animal Welfare: The Foundation supports local nonprofit organizations that promote the care, conservation and prevention of cruelty to animals.

Civic Engagement/Community Development based Individual Grants: The Foundation awards grants to individuals through People’s Liberty for projects focused on civic engagement and community development. For more information about our grants to individuals, click here.
